BREAKIN' ALL THE RULES

Sometimes, I find something that just makes me SMILE so much I have to share.   On Sunday night's Tony awards, there was one number which I just keep going back to the TIVO to watch.

The star of the show introduces the number, but keep your eye on Norbert Leo Butz, who plays Carl Hanratty---the stand-up, do-it-right FBI agent who catches the crook.   He won this year's Tony for this performance:

Click the video in the middle to fill up your screen.   As David Letterman said after they performed on his show, "I think I have chest pains."

But I'm still smiling!

  2. Great minds...! I saw it Sun. night and it was fabulous. He was amazing! I so love going to the theater and see good plays. However, our little town has a little community theater, but nothing to brag about. Really the closest to see quality work is about 100 miles away in Montgomery, the state capital. Joy and I try to see a couple every year. But, I'd like to see more!

I don't know how interested you are in dance...but, if you don't watch, I'd suggest So You Think You Can Dance. One of my favorite shows. This is the 8th year...and it only gets better. Yes, it's a reality show, but this one doesn't have 'nuts' on it! :) All the contestants are so talented. Well, one of the styles they featured last night was Broadway. And, this reminds me of it.

    Hope you are staying cool....

  3. Hi Rachel, I wrote a very noteworthy comment this morning and it was looooong. When I tried to post it, it was lost for heaven knows why. I was very upset and decided to wait until later to try again. This time I will save it before I hit"post comment" I learn quick! HA!

I spent quite a bit of time reading all of your posts I have missed. It is just as lovely as reading a book of short stories. I mean it!

I would love to see Norbert's video but this service cuts out every few seconds and takes a long time to see a video. Good for him, I am sure he was deserving.

I will always think of Sweetpea every time I see a pink piggy bank. Smile. I know she lights up you life. She is a quick thinker huh?

I am glad you will decorate your teacup tree again. It was so clever and original. I loved that sweet tree.

This morning we were drinking our coffee and enjoying the festive coffee and tea area you shared. Chris is a dear to do the very thing that will bring a smile to your day first thing in the morning. First thing I do is make sure everything is neat and in the right place. Then with a happy feeling I sit down with my coffee and enjoy the balance and serenity of all things being 'right' in my surroundings. I should mention I am a big tea drinker as well. Such a lovely thing to do and so relaxing.

Yesterday I stood on a rock jutting out to sea and viewed the ocean as far as I could see. It was an awesome moment Rachel. Thank you for asking me to do this for you. Bill took photos and I will post them on Monday. We were at Scoodic Point if you check the map. Way out there.

I do hope our connection will stay for the rest of our time here.
    Love, Jeanne

  4. I missed the Tonys for the first time in many years but I watched all the numbers on You Tube Wed. night. You're right. This one is a keeper! I loved the number from "Anything Goes" too. When I was watching it, I wondered if I was too old to learn to tap dance. I'm thinking no. But I am too old for the hotpants that talented gal was wearing while she danced!
