THIRTY YEARS AGO . . .

Thirty years ago tonight, Chris and I met.   We’re headed out to dinner in a bit, to celebrate such a momentous occasion, and here’s HOW WE MET.

And another little funny moment, on another ANNIVERSARY.

  2. What a great story! I love hearing how couples meet. I met my husband at high school party in another town. I caught my boyfriend there with another girl. Meanwhile my sixteen year old husband to be gathered his courage to come and introduce himself and I fell all over him with my soon to be ex standing behind me glowering. And then we got married. 40 years this September!

  3. Happy 30th Anniversary dearest Rachel and Chris. I read your story of how you met and I can only say this marriage was meant to be. Your story is so awesome it brought tears to my eyes. Happy tears!!! I wish you many more years of happiness together. Your blended family is blessed beyond words.

Thank you for your darling comment about our precious Lily Mae. We are so thankful for the blessings of our wonderful loving family. Our entire family is sooooo thrilled about this baby girl that we just keep calling each other to revel in the miracle of it all. Maddi has a health problem that made it doubtful if she could carry a baby to term. God is good and we know our faith and prayers were answered. Mother and baby are fine and all is well.

    Love, Jeanne

  4. Well, that is something to celebrate! Wishing you an extraordinarily happy day on your 30th. I believe pearls are the traditional gift associated with this anniversary, but I suspect you'll be dishing out 30 pearls of wisdom to your husband.

  5. 'Twas just yesterday we stood under the cicada chorus, wasn't it? Surely not 30 years!

    Love & Hugs,
