A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP

  1. I was so glad he was able to be included in the two modern Star Trek movies.

  2. Good morning Rachel, We are saddened by his passing too. Now his memory will have to do. Star Trek is an icon in American history that is still huge. The one striking thing is...it reminds us of how old we are getting to be. Yikes. How did we get old so fast?

This morning I feel young. We have a new couch and we haven't had a new piece of furniture in an age. It sparked up the great room and now the feeling old part. It has two 'electric' recliners on each end. We LOVE it and it's electric abilities so much. HA!

We still have snow and it has made our weekend renters so happy. They drove up from Fl. to see snow and they are not disappointed. A darling young family with two little girls 11 and 7 years old. We are fast friends already.

Stay warm and I have to say, when it snows here, very few people go anywhere. Everything closes down and no school either. Snow that stops this town is not all that common. Maybe three or four times in the entire winter. It is a celebration and the mountains ARE dangerous when it snows. We are not equipped with many snow removal vehicles. That's life in our mountains of the South. Smile!

    Love
    Jeanne

  3. Hello Rachel,

Oh, those pointy ears and expressionless face were what made Star Trek great. He made us believe that there is life .......beyond the Final Frontier!

  4. We watched and enjoyed the years.
But can just feel it all slipping away now.

  5. Good morning Rachel dear, Just stopping by to thank you for your sweet comment about our family. Just talked to our daughters and they are heading home from their ski trip. They all had a wonderful time and no one was hurt on the slopes.

Much warmer here now and the snow is gone. It will be 50's and 60's for 10 days but still in the 30's at night. Spring is on it's way.

Happy days to you and yours.
    Love, Jeanne

  6. It's so hard to believe that Leonard Nimoy is gone from this world. He was such a fixture in our lives. And he certainly did Live Long and Prosper. But as you said, how did I get to be this old?

  7. If you have the time and access to Hulu, catch some of his work on Mission Impossible. The Great Paris was a lot of fun to watch.

Another little piece of our history slips away.
