GOOD WEDNESDAY!!

Wishing a fine and good morning to all, whether you’re finishing up, digging out, settling in, making do, settling down, revving up, or simply enjoying the day.

From a “snow day” a couple of weeks ago---any Grandmother worth her Morton's ought to know that being snowed in with a seven-year old who has “built” her own cocoa with marshmallows and a shaker of shaved chocolate is going to be QUITE the lively companion.  She was zipping around like a firefly, from one book to another craft and yet another dancing dress, and if she’d been allowed one of the charming “chocolate spoons” Caro put into everyone’s stockings, she would not have needed her Mama to come drive her home at the end of the day.

She’d have been out the door, Elsa hat crammed on like Ignatius Reilly and a trail of dropped mittens in her wake, those small pink boots just  rattling off down the road.

Darling Rachel,

We will have whatever she is having.......

We could do with a boost and this sounds to be the perfect concoction! But, let us not even consider the calorie count......!

What's that concoction again? Marshmallows and chocolate? I've got to get me some of that.

Smart girl. I went to have some cocoa the other day and discovered that I was, horror of horrors, out of marshmallows. So I put the chocolate and milk and pan and cup away. I mean, what’s the point?

Being 7 years old in the South on a Snow Day is about as fun as fun gets.

I often wish I had 1/2 the energy of my grandchildren! Happy Snow Day! Such a special time to spend with a granddaughter.

Good late evening Rachel, Whew, I am finally sitting down and it is bed time. My sisters' are all going to the Biltmore tomorrow to celebrate one of my sister's birthdays. The five of us go every Feb. because we get free tickets.Bill and I get two passes each because we are annual pass holders. We love going together.
Thus, I have been cleaning up a messy house all evening. Can't ruin my image. LOL.

I love when you post about Sweetpea. She is adorable. Her hot chocolate looks delicious. I too LOVE marshmallows. We lived in Florida when my oldest granddaughter was a baby and we left when she was twelve. Now she is in her second year of college. Our daughter lived just a few minutes from us and Ashley spent so much time with us like Sweetpea stays with you. There are so many stories to tell of those precious years. I can relate to all the darling experiences you have and I miss those times so much. I can picture Sweetpea in her pink boots skipping out the door to go home.

You covered all the possible greetings so I say back at you.
Stay warm. It is very cold here and snow tonight. Just a dusting I think.
Love you much,
Jeanne
