I've just been privileged to see and hear one of the most remarkable moments in television history.
I have no words for this.

This is for all of us plain girls who ARE somebody, and DO dream our dreams. And it's never too late---take a second look.
I think she is amazing! I saw her on one of the morning news shows. She is so unassuming, but wow! what a gift she has. Her voice is a treasure!
ReplyDeleteHer story reminds me of an old song by Janis Ian, 'At Seventeen'. She sings of how the world is meant for beauty queens, etc. I still remember the haunting words as she sang of having a ravaged face, and knowing she was not pretty.
Anyway, I hope Susan goes all the way in her career. She has won America, hasn't she?
I, too, saw Susan's touching and awesome performance, and had chill bumps from the first to last notes. What a voice! ... and a sweet lady, too. I wish her the best -- she deserves it.
ReplyDeleteShe has a great voice!
ReplyDeleteRachel, thank you so much for your sweet and gracious comment about my post for today.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely appreciate your kind words ... and treasure your friendship even more.
