We
had TEN of our kids and GRANDS here last night, for a wonderful, loud, bright
gathering, and it was a splendid evening.
I don’t have words yet to tell of all the glory and wonder of that time,
so I’ll just wish you a glorious and happy-filled NEW YEAR of your own.

Linking today to PINK SATURDAY---this Christmas had as much PINK as I could get into it this year, including a tiny pink tree Caro gave me for the kitchen pass-through.

Happy Pink Saturday and wishes for a wonderful and very Happy New Year. Thank you for joining me today. You are always so good to make Pink Saturday special.
ReplyDeleteYour new year celebration with your family sounds like the best of all. Our son, his girlfriend, our grandson, and a dear friend celebrated New Year's Day with us. We had roasted boneless pork loin, gravy, collard greens, hoppin' john, macaroni and cheese, steamed broccoli and fried cornbread. The wonderful girlfriend brought German's Chocolate Cake and Sour Cream Pound Cake. We were so...stuffed. I thought of you as we dined on our southern fare.
Always good to hear about family fun. Family is the key to our country and personal welfare. Happy New Year to you and yours. That dish looks delicious. Love asparagus.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to share time with family...it's why I was put on this Earth, I think. :)

Happy Happy 2016! The best is yet to come!
ReplyDeleteHello Rachel. That food looks so good. Your New Year celebration had to be wonderful with 10 kids and grands to enjoy. Ours was very quiet but lovely just the same.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your scare with Caro being ill. Thank heaven she is home and surrounded with entertainment and lots of love. I pray she will be healed very soon.
I am trying hard to be a better friend and blogger in 2016. I have missed you but the holiday season takes a lot of time away from sitting down with our computer for hours. Now we are settling in for the winter with more leisure time. We need to make more time to relax.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm.
Much love,
Jeanne
