CHANGE IS IN THE WIND

BILBO BAGGINS AT HOME --ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION BY JRR TOLKIEN

“I am old, Gandalf.  I don’t look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart of hearts.   Well-preserved, indeed!” he snorted.

“Why, I feel all thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean:  like butter that has been scraped over too much bread.   That can’t be right.   I need a change, or something.”    Bilbo Baggins

  1. I don't get it, ha, ha. But, I was hoping all was well with you because I sent you the email you had requested and hadn't heard from you; and your blog was quiet...so I was starting to worry. I'm really glad to see your post. :) Have a great Sunday!

  2. Change is good most of the time, when you are in charge of it. LOL

  3. Good morning Rachel, I was here last night but it was late and I decided to visit you while drinking my coffee this morning. It is kind of like we are having coffee together. Wouldn't that be wonderful.

We do have lots in common...in the way we think especially. Your friendship means a lot to me. I know we won't see each other this summer but the day will come!

Changes are coming here too. I loved your illustration of Billbo. A fictional character Bill and I both love. The clouds in the blue sky make a great photo as well. Our burning bushes that line the hwy. in Franklin are turning red already. So are the dogwoods. Fall is my favorite time of the year in the mountains.

We are off to get our hair cut this am. Until next time...
    Love, Jeanne

  4. Hello Rachel,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and for leaving such an enchanting comment! After reading your kind words I quickly realized you write like an angel, but upon visiting your blog, I am gobsmacked! You are an amazing writer and I can't wait to spend more time here over my cups of coffee! So glad you visited...have a great week!

  5. I am beginning to wonder if we might get a bit of an early Fall. Naw...but maybe we could get that lucky.
:) LOVE your cloud picture...There are not clouds to take pictures of here in California. It's alway so.....so..even! :( Hall is done..and I am so pleased. Thinking of going on into the bedroom with it ..on just two walls. Not sure.
    Hugs.
    Mona :)
