TO YOU

On this hopeful, new-beginnings weekend, I wish you all the brightest and best.   Whatever holiday you're celebrating, whatever gatherings or activities or small moments of tranquil silence, I wish you sunshine and joy and peace and love.

  3. Good morning Rachel, Such a lovely Easter wish to us all. Thank you my sweet friend.

It is good to be home from FL but we did have a very happy Easter with loved ones all around. I am sure you did too.

The son is shining and it is 40 degrees here. A high of 57. I guess we haven't completely finished the cold temps. It is supposed to freeze tonight. All my potted plants are in my house. Such is life.

Happy days to you and yours.
    Love, Jeanne

  5. Just checking in to let you and your DH know we are thinking about you. It is a chilly day here - the kind of day we SHOULD have had in early March when I had to cut the A/C on - and the air has that special "feel" that I remember from the midwest springs. (And now that I paused for athought, I see Jeanne is on the same theme!) The only thing missing is the mix of vague farm smells mixed with the restaurant baking that used to take place a few blocks from us there. Here, downtown, I only smell exhaust and construction dust. I'd rather be THERE.

Please take gentle care of yourself and your family.

  7. Rachel, you ALWAYS understand me! You really do! I will never live in a little cottage like that..and I know this. Perhaps in another life..but I truly am grateful for the little cozy home I have..thatched roof or no! :)
For me, small is good. My gang doesn't even seem to mind...
Still..I will always dream of such a cottage.. always have. I think it was those story books. You know the ones.... :)
    Love and hugs to you!

  8. Dear Rachel...Thank you for coming to my blog and making a comment about our sugar high cake. No kidding I about died when my daughter brought it in. She had told me about it but I couldn't believe it until I saw it. After I had scraped all the m&ms off and peeps of my piece of cake...well the cake was pretty good. But everyone loved it anyway....especially the kids!!! Honestly after that grandkids party on Saturday and then a big Easter dinner the next day we were on food and sweets overload. I daresay worse than Halloween. (smile)

I have been reading comments a little back in your blog and see that something serious must has happened to you/family. I'm not sure what but I know there are alot of concerned people. You and your family will be in my prayers. And I do hope you had a wonderful Easter.

So delighted to meet you. And I'm now following you.

    Big Hugs,

    Nann
