Well, that sealed the deal for me! I absolutely HATE beets and I blame it all on my little infant school making me eat them as part of my school lunch, which they provided to all students daily. No, didn't want to touch them but a trip to the "slow table" and the embarrassment of that little trip just put me off beets for life.

I'm constantly fascinated with these recipes that use canned fruits and vegetables in lieu of the real deal. I covet a recipe from my late mother-in-law that used canned cranberries, canned milk, and saltine crackers, among other ingredients. It would always be a part of her Thanksgiving dinners and I was in awe of it. I'd never seen anything quite like in in England and it was my guilty pleasure of the day. I simply loved the way it tasted!Chronica Domushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732224119040843337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574003980721581984.post-88901346215660160242016-09-02T18:00:15.646-04:002016-09-02T18:00:15.646-04:00well I never had that one.....but do you remember ...well I never had that one.....but do you remember "cherry delight" and "blueberry delight"? how bout "the pink stuff" and "the GREEN STUFF".....the cottage cheese/jello/fruit mix-ups? I hate Jello and run from the very sight of the box let alone the actual jiggly thing.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05673288414533354350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574003980721581984.post-77963483249325598162016-09-02T16:44:45.671-04:002016-09-02T16:44:45.671-04:00Eew!!! is so right. I am happy to say that I seem to have missed out on the opportunity to imbibe this all together.

But, I will say that I still love congealed salads. My favorite always, always features lime gelatin. There is just something so refreshing about it. Just the answer on the hot and humid day of summer. And, let's not forget the joy of watching it jiggle.Beverlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10535622044396271722noreply@blogger.com
